    Politico報導指出，川普在競選期間批評美國現行的貿易政策「扼殺工作」，他的政權交接團隊的內部文件顯示，川普準備迅速兌現競選諾言，在上任一百天內就退出ＴＰＰ，接著可能考慮在上任兩百天內撤出北美自由貿易協定（ＮＡＦＴＡ），除非某些要求能夠被滿足。





    這分說明川普政策路線圖的文件顯示，川普上台後的其他優先推動事項還包括：把大陸列為「匯率操縱國」，（而這是歐巴馬政府八年來一直避免的事）；此外，指示美國貿易代表署與美國外國投資委員會聯手，全面徹查外資併購美國公司的重大提案，以確保美國投資人在海外也享有平等的機會。
